Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs
"Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs," is a model of needs separated into five sections that motivate human behaviour. The five different needs are ordered from least important to most important: physiological needs, security needs, social needs, esteem needs, and self-actualization needs. Once one need is fulfilled, we move on to complete the next one.
The 5 Needs (Lowest-Highest)

This is the lowest category that is concerned with the most basic needs that are important for survival. Ex. food, water, medicine, etc.

Esteem Needs
These needs surround the idea of buying an item to boost reputational and status image; surrounds the need to feel self-satisfied and confident. Ex. designer brand clothing, expensive liquors, cruises, etc.

Self-Actualization Needs
This is the highest category concerned with a person buying an item or going through with an action purely for self-fulfillment and experience; you do it for you. Ex. education, travel experiences, etc.
